Being prepared for your Session, you will get more out of it with better images! Yay!
Weather~ if the weather is bad on the date we scheduled, we will reschedule to the next closest date, no worries. I will be watching the weather.
Are you going to be in any of the images with your horse or pet? Consider wearing something simple, clean riding clothes are fine. You can go with one clothing change if you wish.
I recommend 2 looks...simple, plain, the less is more look and a glam look with a dress or even a gown. Jeans and a plain top, jacket/scarf etc. Busy patterns or too many crazy colors is distracting, things that blend well look best.
Please avoid glitter make up and neon clothing, this does not photograph well.
Be sure to have clean, oiled tack, new halter or show halter and a dark lead or line, black is best. It is very distracting to have a red or lime green lead in pictures. If you do not have a nice halter a bridle works well. Simple bridle & riding bareback looks nice.
Please have your horse or dog clean, clipped & looking their best....unless you like the unclipped look. A little sheen in the mane/tail & hair with a good grooming goes a long way. Just like show day.
Be sure to bring some treats to bribe the subject....important. And a rag to clean up dirty muzzles.
*Fly spray your equine partner well and have some insect repellent for yourself too!
Always good to have an extra hand to help, bring a parent/friend. Especially with a horse- it is important, we will need them. I will be busy photographing you and holding equipment, making me unable to assist with your horse.
If you want your horse or dog photographed somewhere unfamiliar to them, it is important to do a dry run with them to see how they react. If the animal is use to travel and shows and can be handled properly, this should be ok, however, this is your call completely for safety reasons. I have no problem photographing them where they are familiar.
I cannot wait to create some beautiful images for you!
